### Frequently Asked Questions

What age groups are permitted in the Merida Teens Club?

At the time of joining, all teens must be age 13 - 17. We have some teens who have turned 18 since becoming members. We do our best to help our older teens transition.

Why are we required to live in the Yucatán?

It's important to us to provide some continuity and stability for our teen members. Most of our community is comprised of travelers, so sometimes things can feel transitional and impermanent. We have found that this sometimes inhibits teens from connecting.

We invite those who are in the area temporarily to join us a one of our library meet-ups, but they are not permitted to become members of the Merida Teens Club.

Is there a cost to join the Merida Teens Club?

Yes. There is a $99mxn application fee, per teen. This is to help offset operational costs.

Any other costs are per event or class and will be communicated in the WhatsApp community.

Is the Merida Teens Club a non-profit organization?

No, we are not an official non-profit organization. We are a private community of families all aligned in the mission of creating better experiences for our teenagers.

The Merida Teens Club is a vibrant community hub in Merida, focused on connecting, supporting, and enriching the lives of teenagers and their families.
